What is P295 GH Steel Plate ?

p295-gh-steel-plateP295GH is a normalised pressure vessel steel to EN10028-2 with a minimum yield strength of 295 MPa. As with many of our other pressure vessel grades it is has excellent weldability – part due to the chemical composition of the steel and part due to the excellent material properties that Dillinger Hutte steel plate is famous for.

We have an extensive stock of P295GH plate in our Oosterhout steel stockholding in the Netherlands with a focus on heavier plates for fabricators of boilers and pressure vessels who require better than average performance from this grade.

Our P295GH is processed in a state of the art rolling mill, at Dillingen in Germany, that uses some of the world’s heaviest rolling presses. This gives the EN 10028-3 P295 steel that we hold in stock an excellent microstructure which in turn leads to improved performance both during the process of fabrication and in use.
