Standard EN 10025-2: “Non-alloy structural steels” defines conventional structural steels in three yield strength classes 275/355/460 MPa. Marking “AR” means that the delivery state is hot-rolled.
This European Standard, a part of the BS EN 10025 series, specifies the technical delivery conditions for flat and long products and semi-finished products which are meant for further processing to flat and long products of hot rolled non-alloy quality steels in the grades and qualities given in chemical composition tables and mechanical properties tables in the delivery conditions. This standard does not apply to structural hollow sections and tubes.
S420 – offers high yield and tensile strength with a minimum yield strength of 420 N/mm². Structural steels with guaranteed fine grain structure and low carbon equivalent. Because of the yield strength up to 420 MPa and impact energy guaranteed at temperature -20 °C these steels are suitable for more demanding steel structures and their supporting elements.
