Nimonic 80 Plate or Nimonic 80a Plate is a nickel-chromium alloy similar to NIMONIC alloy 75 but made precipitation hardenable by additions of aluminum and titanium. NIMONIC® alloy 80A Plate is a wrought, age-hardenable nickel-chromium alloy, strengthened by additions of titanium, aluminum and carbon, developed for service at temperatures up to 815°C (1500°F). NIMONIC® 80A Plate is produced by high-frequency melting and casting in air for forms to be extruded. NIMONIC 80A Sheet is currently used for gas turbine components (blades, rings and discs), bolts, nuclear boiler tube supports etc. in internal-combustion engines. The NIMONIC 80 & NIMONIC 80A Plates have good corrosion and oxidation resistance and high tensile and creep-rupture properties at temperatures to 1500°F (815°C).
