What is S460NL Steel Plate ?
Standard: EN 10025: 2004 Specification
S460NL – offers high yield and tensile strength with a minimum yield strength of 460 N/mm². These Steel covers weldable structural steels manufactured with a fine grain structure and supplied in the normalised condition or normalized rolled condition. These materials is quench and tempered & offers good tensile and yield strength.
S460NL shows that this is steel is use for structural purposes with minimum yield strength at 16 mm thick and below of 460 MPa (460) and which has specified minimum impact energy values at temperatures not lower than -50 deg C (NL).

There are four grades (S275, S355, S420 and S460) which indicate each grade’s minimum yield strength (in MPa) for plates 16 mm thick and below.N indicates temperatures not lower than -20 deg C and NL not lower than -50 deg C.
