What is S460G1+Q / S460G1+M Steel Plate ?
Standard: EN 10025: 2004 Specification
Offshore steel grade S460G1 is supplied under the specification EN10225:2001. The steel which is available in either quenched (Q) or thermo-mechanically rolled (M) condition, is used in the construction of fixed offshore structures including oil rigs and service platforms.

S460 – offers high yield and tensile strength with a minimum yield strength of 460 N/mm². These Steel covers weldable structural steels manufactured with a fine grain structure and supplied in the normalised condition or normalized rolled condition. There are four grades (S275, S355, S420 and S460) which indicate each grade’s minimum yield strength (in MPa) for plates 16 mm thick and below.N indicates temperatures not lower than -20 deg C and NL not lower than -50 deg C.
